The good old days of competitive multiplayer gaming are coming back, as Counter Strike: Global Offensive’s full version was released today.CS: GO is offering us the key features that made CS one of the most played competitive multiplayer games of all time.With the new Counter Strike come new methods for creating dedicated servers on PC.
Steam CMD CS: GO uses a new tool called Steam Command (more commonly Steam CMD) to install and update dedicated servers on your device. Once you’ve installed it, open the Command Prompt in the directory and type in: steamcmd The program should automatically update, and then enter you into a Steam prompt.
Login with your Steam Account (if you are logged into steam, you will need to log out before doing this).
Use the following command: Type quit to log off of the steam servers.
Starting the Server For starting the server, you need to specify the game type, game mode, and the map.
For the examples, we’ll choose Dust2 as our map for every game type.
