Francis Coady Dies At Home Unexpectedly Stellarton- Mrs. She was a friendly, outgoing and fun loving person that people loved to be around. She took great pleasure in talking to her best friend, Joanne Milly in Ottawa. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Helen Rebecca, sisters, Jessie Coady, Margaret Mac Donald, brothers, Pat, Mose, Matt, Lawrence, Peter, Roddie, John and Dannie. Born in Margaree Forks, he was the son of the late Peter Pat and Rebecca (Mc Daniel) Coady. An active community member, David served as Grand Knight of the Sydney KOC, Council #1060, president of the Spanish River Seniors' Club and served on its board of directors. He and his wife Wanda volunteered with Meals on Wheels for many years.3, 2013, our dear mother, Annie Jane, a month after her 103 birthday, passed away quietly and gently at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney. Francis Coady, Foster Ave., died unexpectedly early Sunday morning at her home following a heart seizure. Beverly will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Bruce; daughters, Krista (Basil) Totten, New Waterford, Samantha Coady (Terence Fletcher), Edmonton; brothers, William 'Billy' (Sharon)Mac Donald, Edmonton; sisters, Norma Mac Donald, Glace Bay, Toni (PJ) Wilson, Glace Bay; cherished grandchildren, Basil Ryan and Dawson Totten, Paige, Lilly and Griffin Coady. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. He attended Paisley Tech in Scotland and graduated from Nova Scotia Tech, Halifax. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage, bowling and poker.Born in Scotchtown to parents, Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (Mac Neil) Mac Gillivray in 1910. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Mae (Bo) Beaton, Westmount; sons, Frank (Carolotta) Binns, Dartmouth and Eugene ‘Binner’ (Gina) Binns, Sydney; daughter-in-law, Norma Binns, Saint John, N. She was the former Beatrice King and was born at Port Felix, Guysboro Co., 62 years ago, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary King. In honoring Beverly's wishes, cremation has taken place. David was very honored to have assisted in setting up the manger display for Christmas at St. He enjoyed many summers at the old home in Margaree Forks.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Ed Binns in 1942 and her second husband, Peter A. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Helen Rebecca, sisters Jessie Coady, Margaret mac Donald, brothers Pat, Mose, matt, Lawrence, Peter, Roddie, John and Dannie.
Coady in 1994; oldest son Eddie ‘Buddy’; youngest daughter Marylou (Binns) Mac Phee; grandchildren, Connie Jane Binns, Beverly Mc Leod, Allie Beaton, Paul Beaton; great-grandchildren, Peter Mc Leod and Dean Binns; brothers, Roddie and Neil Mac Gillvray, Joseph Agnew; sisters, Lucille Mac Carthy, Matilda Lewis and Elsie Kaarto. A funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, April 25th, at 1 p.m.
The family is very grateful to the caring staff at Harbourstone, Steel Workers Lane, who made mom’s home for five years, and her passing, comfortable and with dignity. Respecting mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sydney River, with Rev. Interment was in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
